How do I insert and remove my menstrual cup?Updated a month ago
HOW TO INSERT YOUR CUP
- Take a deep breath and find a comfortable position — sitting, squatting, or standing with one leg raised. (Tip: You can wet your cup with clean water for easier insertion, or do it in the shower.)
- Fold your cup — either a C-fold (pictured) or punch-down fold — whatever feels most natural.
- Gently insert it into your vagina. Angle it toward your tailbone, lower than you would place a tampon.
- Once inside, let it unfold fully and gently rotate to form a leak-proof seal.

HOW TO REMOVE YOUR CUP
- Wash your hands with soap and water.
- Sit, squat, or stand with one leg raised.
- Locate the base of your cup.
- Gently press the sides to release the suction.
- Pull your cup out using a firm grip.
- After emptying the cup, rinse it with cold water, wash with mild soap and warm water, rinse the soap off thoroughly, and reinsert or store.
