Is water-based personal lubricant better than silicone-based personal lubricant?Updated 4 months ago

If you take a look at the ingredients in our personal lubricant and condoms, you’ll find that we use different types of lubricant. That’s because they have different benefits.

Water-based formulas, like that of our personal lubricant, are made to mimic your vagina’s natural moisture, whereas silicone-based formulas are better suited to fully coat packaged condoms.

While both types of lubricant are FDA 510(k) cleared and safe options, we use 100% pure medical-grade silicone oil in the manufacturing of our condoms because it fully coats the pre-rolled condom, which helps prevent drying and breakage in use.

That said, you can safely use our water-based lubricant with polyisoprene or latex condoms (including ours). Just note that our personal lubricant is not compatible with polyurethane condoms. You can learn more here.
