How do I use the LOLA Hot & Cold Perineal Gel Pads?Updated 21 days ago
Feel free to use these gel packs solo or slip them into their soft, disposable sleeves for more comfort and easier cleanup.
Going sleeveless? Carefully test the temperature before applying to prevent burns.
Cold: Freeze for at least two hours before placing pack inside the disposable sleeve.
Hot: Heat only one pack at a time and start with a room temperature pack. Wrap in a moist cloth or paper towel and place in the center of the microwave turntable. Microwave for the time indicated below. If more heat is needed, reheat in intervals. Check for hot spots and knead the pack to distribute heat evenly, then rotate 180 degrees before reheating. Always touch test the pack to ensure safe, even heat before use.
Suggested Heating Time for (1) Gel Pack
If the pack is not warm enough, heat in an additional 5-second intervals to find your perfect temperature. Avoid overheating.
CAUTION
Do not overheat or leave unattended while heating. Use care when removing from microwave. Let cool to a safe temperature to avoid burns or frostbite. Limit use to 20 minutes at a time with 20-minute breaks. Do not wear while sleeping. Do not use on damaged skin, fresh bruises, or areas with impaired heat sensitivity. Do not use on anyone unable to remove, such as children and the elderly. Do not apply pressure or ingest. For external use only. Keep away from children and pets. Discontinue use if the pack leaks. If contents come in contact with your eyes, rinse affected area with water and seek medical help immediately. Stop use and consult a doctor if pain worsens or if you experience skin discomfort. Consult a doctor before using if you have diabetes, poor circulation, heart disease, or rheumatoid arthritis.
