Are LOLA tampons recyclable?Updated 5 days ago

We currently offer three different types of tampons: one without an applicator, one with a compact BPA-free plastic applicator, and one with a cardboard applicator.

Our non-applicator tampons have a small polypropylene wrapper that is recyclable #5.

Our compact plastic applicator tampons have a polyethylene wrapper that is recyclable #4. The BPA free applicator is made from polypropylene plastic. However, we always suggest that customers contact their local recycling facility about recycling the plastic applicator itself to ensure that these applicators are not classified as a biohazard and, therefore, unsuitable for recycling.

Our cardboard applicator tampons have a paper wrapper that is recyclable #21 and compostable.

As a note, we don't recommend flushing any tampons, as they can cause blockages in your plumbing.

Additionally, our pads and liners wrappers can be recycled.
